The Old Town of Corfu is a unique setting that does not exist anywhere else in Greece. It was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.
The inclusion of the old city of Corfu in the list was based on the fourth criterion (a distinguished example of the type of construction or architectural and technological symbol or landscape that shows an important period or important periods of human history).
