Jewish Synagogue of Corfu

The synagogue  is a yellow stucco, two-story structure with a gabled roof, built in the 18th century. Like Venetian synagogues, the sanctuary here is on the upper floor. Baroque gilt-topped pillars support the entablature and dome above the Ark, which is surrounded by a wooden balustrade with an elaborately carved gate.
