Athina is a divorced middle-aged woman, living in Corfu. Her adopted daughter, Lisa studies History of Art in Paris. Lysandros, a retired seaman, moves into the house next-door, who befriends Athina and her sister Mirsini. A tender friendship blooms between them. Lisa is preparing to visit Corfu for Christmas, when a sudden strike of Civil Aviation in Greece, Lisa meets Valerio, the captain of the plane that will take her to Corfu. Athina panics because Valerios is a womanizer and has two failed marriages.
