The “Waves” film festival will be held from August 27th to September 3rd in beautiful Argostoli, with film screenings by the sea, guests from Greek and Serbian cinema, music, cartoons, comics and many more actions.
The festival was founded by director and award-winning location manager (“Magnetic Fields”) Marinos Sklavounakis in his home island, Kefalonia.
In a beautiful municipal venue next to the sea, Thalassomylos, recently renovated for the needs of the Festival, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy favorite artists: from Giannis Economidis and Giannis Angelakas, to Eva Stefani and the Serbian creators Slobodan Sijan and Srdan Golubovic, George Georgopoulos and Illegal Operation, to Nikos Veliotis, Stavros Mitropoulos and the film critic Akis Kapranos.
The program also includes a small tribute to the great Lakis Papastathi who recently passed away, whose wife Yvonne Maltazou, actress, will be present.
