The film “Melissanthi” is a fictionalization of the ancient nymph Melissanthi in an allegorical version with the aim of promoting the extraordinary biodiversity of Greece and its protection. It is a documentary dedicated to the majesty and beauty of nature as told to us by ancient myths and legends, reminding us that we can live in harmony with nature just as our ancestors did for thousands of years.
The short film (12m) was shot entirely on the beautiful island of Kefalonia and was created on the occasion of climate change and with the aim of raising the world’s awareness of biodiversity.
Awarded with 12 awards at international film festivals.
