Shooting of the feature film “The Return” has been completed in Corfu in carefully selected and impressive locations of the island.
The film is about the return of Odysseus and it is the first production shot internationally on the subject of the Odyssey after many decades, as its director Uberto Pasolini emphasizes.
Starring internationally renowned actors Ralph Fiennes in the role of Odysseus, Juliette Binos in the role of Penelope and Greek actor Nikitas Tsakiroglou in the role of Laertes.
The filming took place with the assistance and support of the Ionian Islands Film Office of the Region of the Ionian Islands, the Municipalities of North Corfu and Central Corfu and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corfu, and Corfu collaborators, technicians and supporting actors participated in them.
The Greek production company Heretic, which already has a Palme d’Or award from the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, has undertaken production as well as co-production.
